Today, millions of people live in large cities, and this creates many problems in daily life. In this essay I will describe some of these problems and discuss whether governments should encourage people to move to smaller towns.
There are several problems in big cities. The first one is traffic. There are too many cars, so people spend a long time in traffic jams every day, and this also causes a lot of air pollution. The second problem is the high cost of living, especially the price of houses. Many people cannot afford to buy or even rent a good home in the city centre. In addition, big cities are often crowded and noisy, and some people feel a lot of stress because life is too fast and there is not enough green space.
In my opinion, governments should encourage people to move to smaller towns, because this can reduce these problems. If more people live in smaller towns, the big cities will be less crowded, the traffic will be better and the houses will be cheaper. To do this, the government can build good hospitals, schools and jobs in the smaller towns, so people are not afraid to move there. If the small towns have everything that people need, more families will choose to live there instead of in the crowded city.
In conclusion, large cities have serious problems such as traffic, expensive housing and pollution. I believe governments should encourage people to move to smaller towns by developing these areas, because this would make life better and healthier for everybody.
