Band 6 model answer

In today's world, many people move to live in a country where they must use a foreign language every day. Some people believe that this creates serious social and practical problems. I partly agree with this opinion, because there are real difficulties, but I think these problems can be solved with time.

There are some clear problems when a person lives in a foreign language environment. Firstly, communication becomes very difficult. Simple things like going to the doctor, shopping or asking for help can be a big challenge when you do not speak the language well. This can cause stress and also mistakes. Secondly, there is a social problem, because it is not easy to make new friends or to feel part of the community when you cannot understand people. Some people feel lonely and isolated, and they miss their own country and culture.

However, I do not think these problems are permanent. Most people slowly learn the new language, especially because they use it every day, and after some time the daily life becomes much easier. There are also language classes and translation apps that can help a lot at the beginning. With a positive attitude, most people can improve quickly and feel more comfortable in their new home.

In my opinion, living in a country with a foreign language does create some serious problems at first, but they are usually temporary. In conclusion, I partly agree with the statement, because the difficulties are real, but with effort and time most people can overcome them and enjoy their new life.
