In life, everybody meets difficult and bad situations. Some people believe it is best to accept a bad situation, while others think that people should always try to change and improve it. In this essay I will discuss both opinions and give my own view.
On one hand, sometimes it is better to accept a bad situation. There are some problems that we cannot change, for example the death of a family member or a serious illness. If a person fights against something that is impossible to change, he will only feel more stress and become unhappy. Accepting the situation can bring peace to the mind and help the person to continue his life. So acceptance is sometimes a wise choice.
On the other hand, many people think we should try to improve a bad situation. If everybody just accepts problems, nothing in the world would get better. For example, if a person is poor, he can study hard and work to change his life. History also shows that important changes, like more rights for people, happened because some people did not accept the bad situation and they fought to improve it.
In my opinion, both attitudes are useful in different situations. We should try our best to improve the things that we can change, but we should also learn to accept the things that are truly impossible to change. In conclusion, the most important thing is to know the difference between these two kinds of situations and to act in the right way.
