Artificial intelligence is developing very fast, and people have different opinions about its effect on jobs. Some people think that AI will create more jobs than it destroys, but other people believe it will cause a lot of unemployment. In this essay I will discuss both views and give my opinion.
On one hand, some people are optimistic about AI. They say that new technology always create new types of work. For example, when computers appeared, many new jobs were made in the IT sector. In the same way, AI will need engineers, programmers and peoples to control the machines. Also, AI can do boring and dangerous tasks, so human workers can do more interesting jobs. Because of this, the economy can grow and more opportunities will appears.
On the other hand, many people are worried about losing their jobs. AI can now do the work of drivers, factory workers and even some office staff. If a company use a machine instead of a human, the human will be unemployed. This is a big problem especially for people who do not have high education, because it is difficult for them to learn new skills quickly. For this reason, some families may lose their main income, and this create problems for the whole community.
In my opinion, AI will create jobs and destroy jobs at the same time. The most important thing is that governments and companies help workers to get training for the new jobs. In conclusion, AI has both positive and negative effects on employment, and the society must prepare for this change carefully.
